No, I haven't fallen off of the planet. I just thought I'd let some of the bigger sites do their thing for awhile. But I am very excited that the new season has finally premiered. It's pretty cool to see Denver on MTV.

I'm not going to comment a ton on the cast and goings on. This is more about the Denver part of the show. I had been curious about where they were going to have them all meet and how they were going to get to the house, etc. Good locations, I thought. Union Station (which is only about 3 blocks from the house), Cafe Colore (in Larimer Square, about 6 blocks from the house), and at DIA (a good 30 miles from the house). Jenn was lucky to be able to take the train through the mountains. I'm guessing she was on the Amtrak California Zephyr, but now I'm just being a geek. Actually, my profile photo is one I took of the front of Union Station. It's just a very cool old train station.

And the house- it's amazing to see the transformation inside. I used to spend tons of time playing pool, air hockey and drinking (Holy Trifecta!) at B-52's. It's unrecognizable except for the huge staircase right in the center of the "house". I wish they had kept the awesome B-52 bomber that made up the center of the bar. I'm not sure how I feel about the rustic, mountainy theme. Denver's close to the mountains, but it's a big city. Everyone already thinks all we do here is ski, mountain bike and ride horses or something. I do none of the above. I live downtown, ride buses, take taxis, drink martinis, eat sushi... Then again, I guess there is a majority of people in this area that do love to hike and hang out in the mountains. So whatever.

The cast also spent time in the show (in at least 2 scenes, including the one where Davis comes out to the roommates) across the street from their house at the Tavern Uptown. That place has some delicious burgers, and is also the location of the video clip located back in my archives. It has a great upstairs patio as well with good people watching.

Anyway, that's all for this episode. Hopefully soon they'll stop having sex with each other and see the city so I'll have more to share ;) Keep checking back, I'll update every week!

The cast is up and out of Denver on August 31st. So, if you haven't had your chance at fame by getting nekkid in the hot tub, this is your last weekend to try. Good luck, intrepid fans.

This blog will be updated regularly when the show begins airing later this fall.

9News Report

This was an interesting report on our local news station here in Denver about the 'reality' of the Real World. Supposedly the Denver Post reporter who created the Get Real Denver site is being 'harassed' by the production crew.

On another note, sorry for the lack of updates. I'm not really recieving any, so I can only put up my personal experiences which extend only so far. I do plan on blogging lots here when the show actually airs, and I will continue to update if I have anything interesting to tell you in between.

New 'Real World' article in the Denver Post.

A couple of cast members are on Myspace:

Davis
Tyrie (incredibly amusing- loves the 8 almost identical pics, and the NASTY half-naked chicks all over his friends list!)

Just a quick note, not a sighting or anything, but... I've been reading a history of Denver. And I find it ironic that the Real World house is on the site of a former brothel. That's all.
